West, an estranged, pretentious, and naive boy, is on his indefinite search to finding idyllic eternal happiness. Through his journal, he begins to list what he believes as "life's essential keys to happiness." West's journey through creating his list of happiness is equally met by the gloomy reality of those around him. Is his ignorant outlook on an obviously detrimental world his only weakness? Can West use his own creation to ultimately reach the quixotic happiness he desires?
